This page is a plain-language template written for how this website works. Please review it (ideally with a legal professional) before launch and whenever you add a new service.

This policy explains what information is collected when you use Calcuvi ("we", "us") at calcuvi.com, and how it is used.

1. Calculator inputs stay on your device

Every calculation runs in your web browser using JavaScript. The numbers, dates and other values you type into our calculators are not sent to our servers and not stored by us. If you use the Share button, your inputs are placed in the web address (URL) so the person you send it to sees the same result; that link is only shared where you choose to paste it.

2. Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems. These logs are kept for a limited period by the host and are not used to identify you. We do not run our own analytics or tracking scripts at present. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future, we will update this policy first.

3. Cookies and local storage

The site itself does not set cookies. It may store your cookie choice (for example "accepted" or "declined") in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again. This value contains no personal information.

4. Advertising

We may show advertisements provided by Google AdSense. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage personalised ads at adssettings.google.com. Where required by law (for example for visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can choose to see only non-personalised ads.

5. Affiliate links

Some pages include clearly labelled affiliate links. If you click one, the partner website may set its own cookies to record that you came from us. Their privacy policies apply on their sites.

6. Children

This site is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data through our calculators, there is usually nothing for us to access or delete. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser at any time. If you email us, we use your email address only to reply and delete the conversation when it is no longer needed. Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you; contact us to use them.
